A McDonald’s manager allegedly sold customers cocaine alongside their food while working the night shift. Anyone for a Happy Meal? Frank Guerrero, 26, sold £8,200 of coke to an undercover police officer over eight separate occasions in New York, it is claimed. He allegedly hid his stash in a soap dispenser, then passed out wraps by putting them in a small bag with a cookie, placed in a larger takeaway bag with a burger and fries. On some occasions he also sold drugs, including crack, in the car park of the branch in the Bronx, police believe. Undercover officers acted on a tip-off as part of ‘Operation Off the Menu’.
Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget Brennan said in a statement that the ‘conduct was so blatant it would be comical if he weren’t committing a serious narcotics crime. ‘Ordering coke took on an entirely different meaning on the night shift at this McDonald’s.’ Guerrero, who had been with the chain for eight years, no longer works at McDonald’s.
The New York Post reported that surveillance footage showed he regularly sold cocaine to fast food customers. Police searched his home where he lived with girlfriend Leidy Castillo and say they found money in a child’s dresser. Both face charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawfully dealing with a child. Guererro is also expected to be charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance.
