* Download the http://www.searchdaimon.com/es/Fedora-8-x86_64-rescuecd.iso file
* Boot from the newly downloaded Fedora-8-x86_64-rescuecd.iso file
* At boot use you’re up arrow key to select “Install or upgrade an existing system” and then press Tab (edit)
* Add ” ks=http://www.searchdaimon.com/es/ks.cfg sddata=sdb” and press enter

but I get this message at the begin of the installation : unable to download the kickstart file

does anyone have an idea?
is there any more detail documentation to install on physical device (PC)

I made some test.
I have installed a new VM on virtualbox using OVF.

Then I boot the VM using the rescue cd and restart the procedure. Still doesn’t work…

I have boot once again with the rescue cd using the option : rescue installed system
In this case the boot cd asked me to start network
After completing some question I made IFCONFIG which gives me an IP.
So networks works…

Maybe in the first case the network is not activated but I can not see where to activate it????

there are two options I am thinking at..
First: Do you have a dedicated firewall? Give your VM unlimited access to the internet. I got an error by that by myself because the machine wasnt able to download the ks-file and the packages.
Second: Which virtual network adapter did your machine got? Try something like “older adapter” or “legacy adapter”. Searchdaimon is based on Fedora 8 and does not have new drivers. My machine is running on Hyper-V with “Legady Network Adapter” because it didnt work with the “normal” one.

However I found another solution. I have installed a linux server and run a virtualbox headless. Then run Searchdaimon under virtualbox.
