Hi,
I’m trying Searchdaimon since one month and I had a good feedback with the product, but there is a primary question for which I cannot find any answer here:
On http://www.searchdaimon.com/documentation/C16/#end_users_searching there is the statement that “Typing ‘-’ in front of a word, will remove all documents containing this word”, but for me this is not working. I have tried the official virtual machines versions and also the developer version from github but the problem persist. Also on your online demo there is the problem.
I give you an example:
the two queries, search and search -demo return the same number of results (233), and, like you see on the third results of the results, there is always the word “demo”:
http://demo.searchdaimon.com/webclient2/indexanon.pl?query=search&lang=en&x=0&y=0
http://demo.searchdaimon.com/webclient2/indexanon.pl?query=search+-demo&lang=en&x=0&y=0
Instead, the OR operator | is working, like also the “”, as documented.
I’m using the wrong operator or I misinterpreted your documentation?
Thank you
Max
