We plan to update the kernel of the underlying Linux operating system on Monday 20 January 2014. This should give us some better support for virtual environments and KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) in particular.
* Download the files
- http://archive.fedoraproject.org/pub/archive/fedora/linux/updates/8/x86_64.newkey/kernel-2.6.26.8-57.fc8.x86_64.rpm
- http://archive.fedoraproject.org/pub/archive/fedora/linux/updates/8/x86_64.newkey/kernel-devel-2.6.26.8-57.fc8.x86_64.rpm
- http://archive.fedoraproject.org/pub/archive/fedora/linux/updates/8/x86_64.newkey/kernel-headers-2.6.26.8-57.fc8.x86_64.rpm
* Then go to Software updates->Advanced in the admin panel and install the rpms
* Reboot (Ctrl+Alt+Del from the console)
