I’ve discovered something that maybe a known issue. When searching a SMB share and the share file path has a Pound Sign (#) in it and the file is a PDF, you can’t directly open the link in IE or FireFox. If you do Save As if works fine in FireFox, but fails in IE the first time, but on the failed message you get an option to Retry and it works. This appears to be only related to Pound Sign and only with PDF files. I’ve tried other files like Word, Excel and Powerpoint and they don’t have this problem. And other special characters seem to be ok, but I’ve not tested them all. Is this related to the Search Engine or is it an issue with the browsers?
