We have found a solution to the XSLTPROC issue now. You can test it out by:

* Download both the files

http://bbh-001.boitho.com/div/boitho-bbdn-1.8.46-1.i386.rpm
* Then go to Software updates->Advanced in the admin panel and install the rpms one at a time
* Start the crawl again

Ok I’m installing them now and I’ll let you know what I find.

OK after several re-crawls I’ve not seen this problem return. So I’d say you’re fix is working. I’ll let you know if I run into anything else.

So I’ve added these two fixes, one for the Crawl issue saying out of space and the one for the Xls file process not stopping. Have these been added to the latest version? I didn’t want to run the Check for updates function if it was going to undo the patches I’ve added.

We are in the process of adding thus updates to all now. I think it has been sent out to some customers for testing, but have not been release to everyone yet. If you have setup a new ES you should add thus fixes manually for now.

It is never dangerous to run the check for updates function. The ES is auto updating so it will actually run it automatically several times a day. The automatic updates take patch number into consideration, so it will never override something you have installed manually except when we release something that is even newer.

Then, when new versions are released we include the patch we have mad and update every ES in such a way as they all run the latest version.
