First you must be able to meet these objectives before working out the details:
* you must have a group of people that will use your product (whether known or predicted)
* there has to be a detailed business plan (money is #1 priority)
* there must be an incentive or reason to use your product over others, or at least use it in tandem with existing products (google, yahoo)
* it must be a recognizable or buildable brand if you want to hit it big and be more than a 1 man show
Do you think you have what it takes? Want to work along side someone who can answer most of the questions above, but can’t code C very good? Or are you just wandering what everybody else is thinking and thought it’d be cool to ponder a new search engine but don’t really want to do the work involved? Do you play well on a team, or do you slow down and try to see who can work the least? Unless you came here to make a new search engine, your wasting your time. If you don’t play well on a team, if you can’t answer the questions above, and if you are just a “thinker” and not a “doer”, your wasting your time. Go get a job and just let Google/Yahoo do the work.
