Is there any way to rename a collection after you have set it up? 

This would be handy, as when one sets up a collection you focus on getting it all working, not so much the name. Then, later, all is good, and your users will be seeing the collection name in their searches, and you think… a better name for that collection would be..  can I change it?

Also, when you change the configuration of your collection (such as the path crawled) you may want to rename the collection to reflect this.

Agree, changing the collection name would be nice. Unfortunately,as I understand it, there are technically issues here that makes it challenging to allow changes of the name of the collection name after the first crawl. No really sure what the issues specifically are, but think it is related to that the ES can be run in a cluster configuration also. When so the different nodes don’t share any central configuration. They then have to agree on the diffident collections name, and what data should be stored in each collection.

If you changes a path crawl,couldn’t you just make a new collection instead?
