Today brings my next review from the Pandora Winter 2017 collection, with a closer and suitably festive look at the Christmas Polar Bear charm! – I’m rounding off the review with a look through my Christmas collection. This is the only new Christmas bead I’ve bought this year so far, so I’m kind of going all out on the holiday theme for this review, as it might be my only Christmas review this year. But you never know! Maybe I’ll hoover up something else before the 25th hits. Read on for a closer look at this charm, and lots of festive inspiration! The Polar Bear is my favourite of the new Christmas beads. I love that there’s no pave, while the addition of a little enamel scarf is tastefully done and a nice addition. The charm is threaded, and he feels much more like a traditional Pandora charm, and yet the detailing is a bit more stylised and up-to-date than some of their older designs. His pose makes him look like he’s standing guard, waiting to flag Santa down for you! We did previously have a dangle Polar Bear charm (which you can see in the styling section down below! ), but I love that we now have a full-bodied design. It’s cute, but not overly so, with a light touch on the detailing. Its face is chubby and cuddly, but minimally defined. The feet and hands have claws, but they are simply done. He looks kind of sleepy, haha. While there’s no Pandora Disney, Rose or murano glass, there is still a surprising amount included in the sale! You’ll be able to pick either the regular bell ornament or this pretty Jared exclusive ornament as your free gift! So many promos, so little time! I am taking part in the Jared offer for sure, and I’m planning on getting the Celestial Mosaic and the Sweet Panda (finally! ). I might be tempted to get a couple of extra things in the 35% offer promo, depending on how sensible I’m feeling tomorrow, also. This time of year always puts me in a very Pandora-y mood! I find it funny that Pandora US and Pandora Canada seem to be insisting on going their separate ways for promos these days, to the extent that Pandora Canada ran the ornament promo while Pandora US ran the bangle promo, and then Pandora US ran the ornament promo while Canada had the bangle. Why? Does no one think about the plight of bead bloggers when they organise these things? The sale offers discounts of around 50% – there aren’t any new styles included this time around, but it does offer the opportunity to grab something you might have hesitated on previously. There are some cute Disney charms and some lovely two-tone pieces! The other nifty thing is that Rue La La are offering a blog-exclusive shipping promo for international shoppers. I wasn’t going to get this bead, but (as so often happens) in the end I caved at the last minute and bought one. It’s for a good cause! And then I wasn’t going to review it, seeing as it was so similar to last year’s – but again, today I was thinking that it would be a shame to miss this one out, having reviewed the previous two.
